The First Folio
and Early Quartos of William Shakespeare

| Help | Mail |

These texts are the earliest appearances in print of some of Shakespeare's plays and poems. The spelling, puncuation, and other early modern printing conventions have not been normalized, a factor to be kept in mind when planning a search. Lineation for each play is "to the end," that is, running straight through from first to last line rather than restarting with each new scene.
